An internationally recognised expert on road safety, compliance and enforcement, Dr Jones currently sits on the Truck and Bus Safety Committee at the Transportation Research Board in Washington.

Dr Jones has a particular interest in the relationship between mental health and safety. She is an accredited mental health officer and recognised expert on the phenomenon of suicide by truck.  Jones sits on the advisory board of Healthy Heads in Trucks and Sheds and on the Steering Committee of the National Road Safety Partnership Program.
